The Week is a liberal weekly news magazine with editions in the United Kingdom and United States. The British publication was founded in 1995 and the American edition started in 2001; an Australian edition was published between 2008 and 2012. They have expanded from print editions to digital, with weekly apps for iPads, iPhones, and Android devices, and a website which publishes distinctive online stories throughout the week.

The Week Junior is a current affairs magazine for children aged between 8 and 14, filled with stories and information written to engage  and encourage children to explore and understand the world around them. It was first published in the UK in 2015, and the US in 2020.The Week Junior covers an array of topics from around the globe. They are 'written to engage a young person's point of view, without spoon-feeding or patronising.' They aim to convey news in a 'safe, accessible and inspiring way.'

National Geographic Kids

National Geographic Kids is a children's magazine, published by the National Geographic Society. Its first issue was printed in September 1975 under the original title National Geographic World. National Geographic Kids publishes ten issues annually. As of June, 2006, the magazine reports a circulation of more than 1.3 million in English, with an estimated English language readership of more than 4.6 million. The magazine is written for children between the ages of 6 and 14. It has an advisory board of 500 subscribers and solicits reader feedback after each issue.

  TASK 1: INDUSTRY: Research Dennis Publishing UK Brief history of Dennis Publishing UK Dennis publishing was created by publisher and entrepreneur Felix Dennis in Fitzrovia, London. Dennis identified a gap in the publishing market, computers. From this, Dennis then launched and acquired a series of computer titles, such as Hi-Fi Choice, PC Pro, and Personal Computer World magazines. This resulted in Dennis Publishing becoming the United Kingdom's leading technology publisher. In 1995, Maxim was launched. This was a title that originated from the back of a beer mat, and soon became the world's biggest, bestselling men's lifestyle magazine and global brand.
